Our Grand Rapids, MI plant is 250,000 square feet. The size of our facilities allows us to organize our equipment for proper work flow and efficiency. Why does this matter? Because it allows us to produce parts for our customers in the most cost effective manner.

Stephenson & Lawyer also has an excellent tooling and maintenance department in-house.

We have the ability and capability to build, modify or create our own specialized equipment and modify purchased equipment to meet our customer's specialized needs.

SAWS

When fabricating parts from bun stock it is vital that a fabricator has a variety of saws to process the buns into smaller increments that can be fabricated into the final shape. Our Saw Department is usually the first step in producing a finished part.

PRESSES

Our Press Department consists of numerous hydraulic and mechanical flat bed and rotary presses that are used to die cut or stamp out a specific shape. We have a wide range of press sizes from 15 ton up to 150 ton. Having a variety of presses allows us to match the part size and material type for the best yield and efficiency.

SPECIALTY

Stephenson & Lawyer has many pieces of specialized equipment that allow us to produce a variety of unique shaped parts for our customers. Most of this equipment has either been modified or custom built by our in-house tooling department. We have built many pieces of dedicated equipment as well as multi functional equipment.
